I completed my PhD from Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, University of Groningen, The Netherlands on radio astronomy, specifically the LOFAR telescope, and did postdoctoral research on MeerKAT at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory before joining IUB as an assistant professor in 2020.

I teach courses on astronomy, astrophysics, electronics and introductory physics. My research focuses on observational radio cosmology, x-ray and radio observations of galaxy clusters, and the application of machine learning in radio astronomy.

I was born in Mymensingh, raised in Satenga, Bhaluka, went to school in Mirzapur Cadet College and finished my undergraduate studies in EEE from Islamic University of Technology. My MSc was in astronomy and astrophysics at University of Innsbruck, Austria, University of Goettingen, Germany, and University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy, and it was funded by the Erasmus Mundus programme Astromundus.

I run the Astronomy Research Group, IUB (ARGI) since 2020. The group has initiated astronomy education and research for the first time in Bangladesh and it is also active in astronomy outreach among school students through olympiads and the general public through skywatching events and popular science writing in Bangla.
